SPOKANE, Wash. – A structure fire in the Hillyard area led to North Freya Street being closed down on Tuesday evening, according to the Spokane Fire Department (SFD).
The incident was first reported around 3:52 p.m., with firefighters responding to a home in the 4700 block of North Freya Street. Upon arrival, crews discovered that the fire was burning in a detached garage structure on the property, putting off large amounts of smoke.
SFD crews managed to quickly contain the fire, and officials reported that no other structures were damaged and no injuries were sustained. Freya Street was shut down near the roundabout, however, authorities noted that it should be reopened soon…
