Inmates at Airway Heights sell nearly 1,500 sandwiches to help Shriners hospital

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Inmates at Airway Heights Corrections Center raised $4,467.41 for Shriners Children’s hospital in Spokane through a first-quarter 2026 sandwich fundraiser, the Department of Corrections (DOC) announced.

Staff worked with Winco to buy sub sandwiches at a reduced price, according to the department.
