SPOKANE, Wash. — Street parking in the downtown area became more limited after the city removed more than 40 parking spaces under downtown overpasses.
The change came as Spokane updated about 3,000 downtown parking meters with newer purple models that use solar charging. The city did not replace the meters under viaducts and instead removed them.
