Spokane Tribal Business Council enacts resolution banning fireworks on all Tribal lands

WELLPINIT, Wash. – The Spokane Tribal Police Department on Tuesday shared the details of the resolution banning the sale, use and lighting of fireworks on all Tribal land.

Resolution 2026-250 was enacted on May 4 by the Spokane Tribal Business Council and put into effect immediately. Despite the restrictions issued in this resolution, the 2026 Fireworks Show at Two Rivers Resort will still take place as the only permitted use of fireworks on Tribal lands.

According to the resolution, “Non-Indian Offenders” found in violation of the enacted terms and conditions will be subject to confiscation of all fireworks as well as all proceeds of any fireworks sales, and a $500 civil fine. Additionally, they could face exclusion from Tribal lands…
