CHEERS
KINDNESS ON GARLAND: I don’t know what raucous nonsense happened last week (on May 16), possibly some drunken marmots, but Garland Ave had planters tore up this morning. The worst of it was a planter completely knocked over and the soil was all over the sidewalk. There was a young man picking up the soil by hand and putting it back into the pot, situating the flowers and making things back in order. This is not a guarantee in life that the kindness of strangers takes care of the anonymous messes of life. But when it does happen, I feel that maybe we’ll all survive the madness of this world. To the young man on the bike who took time from whatever he had planned this morning to help put Garland Ave back in order: thank you for your kindness.
TO THE HELPFUL MAN IN THE TRADER JOE’S WINE SECTION… Who saw the woman, who knew absolutely nothing about wine, staring blankly at the wine bottles at 8:15 in the morning and took pity on her poor soul and kept her from picking an overpriced wine because it had a pretty label… Thank you! The wine you recommended was a HUGE hit for Mother’s Day.
COUNTY ROADS DEPT: Cheers to the Spokane County roads department for a very timely response to my inquiry. I sent a complaint message and received a return phone call within 30 minutes. To top it all off, I got an easy to understand, and legitimate answer. Way to go!!…
