WENATCHEE — A former CEO of Columbia Valley Community Health is accused of embezzling millions of dollars from the healthcare payment partnership that he went on to lead.
Patrick Alan Bucknum, 55, was charged with wire fraud May 7 in federal court in Spokane. Prosecutors say he embezzled money out of his firm to the tune of $24 million.
Bucknum was the top executive at the nonprofit Columbia Valley Community Health in Wenatchee from 2010 to 2016. After leaving CVCH, he became CEO for Community Clinic Network, a limited liability firm that’s owned by four Medicaid-funded clinics — including CVCH — to manage payments and contracts for a total of 11 clinics…
