Galveston officials are urging residents to prepare immediately as a storm system tracks northeast along the Texas coast, bringing the potential for flooding rain, gusty winds and tropical conditions by midweek.
The City of Galveston Office of Emergency Management said it “continues to monitor a storm system moving northeast along the Texas Coast,” which now has a 70 percent chance of developing into Tropical Storm Arthur overnight into Wednesday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center.
