Michael Fields with the Rotary Club of Magnolia told me, “It is the time of year to again plan our projects for the upcoming year. We are working on planning our “Meals of Hope” project for September. This event includes the Rotary Club acquiring food and food preparation kits to allow Club members and volunteers to prepare over 10,000 meals. These meals are provided to the Society of Samaritans for distribution to needy families in our community.”
The Rotary Club of The Woodlands just completed a successful blood drive with blood to impact 35 lives in the future. Rotarian/Chief Vampire Stephen Bauer relayed to me, “Club members provide blood on a quarterly basis for the Gulf Coast Blood Center. Each unit supports as much as 3.5 persons.”
Precinct 1 Constable’s Office investigator Jerry Serrat told the Rotary Club of Conroe that his unit works internet crimes against children. He and other law enforcement in Montgomery County work closely with District Attorney Michael Holley to nab the bad criminals and put them away for the maximum time allotted to make our streets safe.
