The city of Conroe has delayed the implementation of stormwater utility fees after learning that the ordinance does not include credits for homes or businesses with on-site stormwater infrastructure.
In March, the city council first discussed implementing a $4 stormwater utility fee for residential and commercial properties to help fund more than $11.9 million in needed infrastructure improvements across the city.
