A roughly 10-acre sports-themed mixed-use development is under construction in south Houston, anchored by two soccer fields expected to open in time for the World Cup.
Called Social District, the speculative 120,000-square-foot project is expected to include a mix of restaurants, retail, coworking and sports facilities across 10 buildings. The development is planned at 8003 Hall Road, near the intersection of Beltway 8 and Texas 35, about five miles south of William P. Hobby Airport and roughly three miles north of Pearland.
