Springfield Police detail how they use Flock cameras in their department

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Springfield Police are clarifying how Flock Safety cameras are being used as a tool for their department.

Springfield Police Chief Paul Williams shares what these cameras do and don’t do.

“These are not speed cameras. We don’t do traffic enforcement with them. They’re not used in any way, shape, or form for immigration. They’re not used in any way, shape, or form to surveil unwilling, unwanted citizens,” said Chief Williams. “It’s public information that’s out there anyway. We just have a means of capturing it and utilizing it, if needed, for law enforcement purposes. And then we dispose of it.”…
