SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Sertoma Duck Race Festival in Ozark began Thursday with a carnival at Finley River Park.
The weekend includes events for the whole family. Friday will feature a food truck park, a hot air balloon glow, and a craft fair. A Duck Waddle 5K will take place Saturday morning, followed by the rubber duck race Saturday evening at 7.
“Doing this as a community event, but we want to raise money for children’s charities while we’re doing it,” said event organizer Bradley Jackson. “So last year we were able to raise and donate $107,000 to our charities, and we’re hoping to break that this year and donate even more to the kids.”…
