One person found dead in house fire near Fair Grove

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — One person has died in a house fire east of Fair Grove on Sunday, June 21, according to the Fair Grove Fire Protection District.

According to Fire Grove FPD Fire Chief Randall Hoskins, firefighters responded just before 10 p.m. Sunday to a house fire on East Farm Road 22, just north of Highway E. Firefighters also got reports of multiple explosions in the home and individuals possibly trapped inside the house.

While working the fire, firefighters located one person inside the house and extracted them from the house, but the individual later died from his injuries on scene, according to Chief Hoskins. No one else was injured, but the house was a total loss.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), but the fire is not believed to be suspicious, Chief Hoskins says…
