Springfield-Greene County Health Department restaurant inspectors cited two Springfield restaurants for thawing food improperly this week, according to reports.
Both Karai, 640 W. Republic Road, and Taqueria Cachanilla, 1938 S. Glenstone Ave., were found with items either thawing at unsafe temperatures or in the wrong spot.
During its Aug. 4 inspection, inspectors found sushi tuna and soft-shelled crab thawing at room temperature at Karai, and the soft-shelled crab was thawing in a hand sink. The non-priority violations were corrected, according to the report…
