A year ago, I had a vision for what our neighborhood could become.
Through my job with the City of Springfield, I had the opportunity to work with some amazing neighborhood associations and incredible people like Becky Volz. I got to see firsthand what happens when neighbors come together—not just the events they held or the projects they completed, but the relationships they had built along the way.
I watched people volunteer together, advocate for their neighborhoods, solve problems, celebrate successes and genuinely enjoy being around one another. I was inspired by what they were accomplishing, but even more by the community they had created while doing it…
