The Nixa Fire Protection District and Ozark Fire Protection District have signed an agreement creating a joint Swiftwater Rescue Team to respond to water emergencies across Christian County.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding approved by both agencies’ boards Sept. 17, according to a community announcement. The agreement takes effect immediately and establishes a shared team trained to handle swiftwater incidents, flash floods and river rescues.
