Kirby Leads Republic with Strong Finish

Republic cross country runner Jovi Kirby finished the Bolivar course in 22:59.47 in early September. On Saturday, in the last race of the season, she ran it in 20:41.27.

Eli Sherrow set a personal best for the fifth time in his last six races, finishing 94th in the boys race in 19:02.98, 51 seconds faster than his September time in Bolivar. Derek Argaez ran a personal best of 20:25.26 to finish 106th, and senior Caleb Brest ran a season best of 19:26.44 to finish 101st in his last race for Republic. Both were 56 seconds faster than they ran there in September…
