Thursday, February 1: Record high heat sticking around for another day

Hope you were able to get outside today and enjoy the warm weather. Temperatures hit a high of 68 in Springfield making today the warmest it has been since the middle of November. Joplin and Rolla both managed to set new record highs, dethroning records were set in 1992 and 1974 respectfully.

The good news for fans of warm weather is tomorrow has the potential to be even sunnier and warmer.

Regardless if Punxsutawney Phil manages to see his shadow for tomorrow, we will be experiencing a spring-like day. Most places will be threatening the 70-degree mark, with slightly cooler temperatures to the Northwest.
