CRIME STOPPERS: Police search for business owner accused of ripping off customers

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Greater Springfield Area Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help locating a business owner accused of taking money from customers, then not completing work.

There is a warrant out for the arrest of Richard Albert Bowers, 59. He faces five felony charges of deceptive business practices, filed by the Missouri Attorney General’s office.

In court documents, the Attorney General’s office states Bowers owned a local roofing company, and collected nearly $24,000 from five customers who reported Bowers never did any work and did not refund the money…
