Husband faces involuntary manslaughter charge in wife’s death

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. — A Lawrence County man is now charged with killing his wife back in December.

Robert Morgan, 68, is charged with involuntary manslaughter after several months of investigation.

Lawrence County deputies were called to the Morgan residence on December 19 last year, where they found Linda Morgan dead. Court records say detectives found Linda with bruising and bandages on her head with fluids seeping out.

An autopsy showed Linda had three cracked vertebrae in her neck, bruising on her top and bottom lips, black eyes, a brain hemorrhage, and broken blood vessels in both eyes. But officials say her death was “undetermined” at the time…
