SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Two from Springfield are charged after police say a child with intellectual disabilities was found with dozens of bruises and later disclosed being handcuffed to a bed as punishment.
According to online court dockets, Shawn Michael Stass, born in 1988, and Mary Elizabeth Dougherty, born in 1986, both face three felony charges of first-degree, first-offense child endangerment without sexual contact.
