Costco is coming to another Florida community.
Only 3 weeks remain before the Costco location in Daytona opens its doors to its members. According to a report from The Daytona Beach News-Journal the store had set up a temporary office to sell memberships in anticipation of the February 22, opening. It is on pace to shatter records for pre-opening membership sales in the southeast region. As of 2 weeks ago, they had already sold 800 memberships. The previous record was held by the Claremont store, the Daytona store has already doubled that record.
The new Costco is located at One Daytona, a retail complex across from the Daytona International Speedway. It will become the 32nd location in the Sunshine State. Florida has the 4th most locations nationwide; Texas (38), Washington (33), and California have far and away the most with 135.
The new store will have a 24-pump gas station that is slated to open on February 1.
