Six arrested for contraband attempts at Georgia prisons after discovery of illegal drugs and more

The Georgia Department of Corrections recently made multiple arrests in connection to contraband attempts at three Georgia prisons involving civilians and former inmates, according to the department.

On January 21, per officials, security staff at Calhoun SP observed a “suspicious person” running into the woodline. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was alerted, and deputies apprehended Nehemiah Robinson near the facility, officials stated.

Officials stated that Robinson was found in possession of one drone, one drone remote, and a bag of contraband. He was arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail, with charges pending, per the statement.

Five days later at Hancock State Prison, staff reported suspicious activity near the facility. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and the GDC K9 were notified for assistance, officials said.

According to officials, former inmates, Lloyd White and Jeaundean White, were arrested with contraband, including 9 cell phones, 2 packs of THC gummies (61 grams), 10 lighters, 13 charging cords, 3 Bluetooth earbuds, 9 charging blocks, 1 bottle of biofreeze, 1 bottle of blunt spray, 1 bottle of acetaminophen, 1 bottle of Tylenol, 228 grams of marijuana, and 4074 grams of tobacco. Lloyd and Jeaundean were both arrested and transported to the local jail, officials stated.
