Georgia Is Home to The World’s Largest Peach Cobbler!

It’s no shock that Georgia is known as the “Peach State” but did you that Georgia is also known for making the “World’s Largest Peach Cobbler”?

The World’s Largest Peach Cobbler is made during the Peach Festival which occurs every June. The cobbler is 5 by 11 feet and is around 6 inches deep and is served to the public for free.

The cobbler is made with 65 pounds of butter, 150 pounds of sugar, 32 gallons of milk, 150 pounds of flour and 75 gallons of peaches. Head Chef Rich Bennet also decided to add vanilla and cinnamon to the recipe as well in 2022.

To cook the cobbler, they first divide all of the dry ingredients evenly into 6 separate large containers. They mix the mixture in each container with a clean sanitized boat paddle. They sizzle the 65 pounds of butter of butter in the 5 by 11 ft baking pan. Then they pour the batter and the 75 gallons of peaches in the baking pan.

To cook the cobbler, they use one propane tank and bake the cobbler at 350F degrees for around 4 hours or until the cobbler is golden brown.
