Illinois voters could get mail ballots without asking

Illinois residents could soon need to be on the lookout for voting ballots mixed in with their everyday mail. A bill in the state capitol would let county clerks automatically send vote-by-mail ballots to every eligible voter, whether they want it or not. As Our Quad Cities News Illinois Capital Bureau’ reporter’s Theodora Koulouvaris reports, voting by mail would not be mandatory.
