Breezy and warmer today

QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) — Near record warmth is expected today and tomorrow before a slight cool down arrives for the weekend. Gusty south winds will be responsible for warming us up both today and tomorrow. So despite having quite a bit of cloud cover today we should still manage to hit the mid 50s. Tonight we only cool off to the mid 40s and with a warmer start on Thursday we should get back to 60º in the afternoon. Two waves of rain will roll through on Thursday as well, one in the morning and one in the evening that may produce a rumble of thunder or two. Highs will be back in the 40s this weekend under mainly cloudy skies.
