LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Several rounds of heavy rain will be moving through the region today and continue through the weekend. When you consider how soaked the ground is from the recently melted snow and how much rainfall we are about to put on top of that. See, in the grand scheme of things, the water content in the snow wasn’t an incredible amount. BUT it did keep that top layer saturated. These rounds of showers might produce some very heavy amounts, thus, we have the potential for high water.
