One person killed in three-vehicle crash on Mississippi interstate involving 18-wheeler

One person was killed in an early morning crash with an 18-wheeler on the Mississippi interstate.

WREG in Memphis reports that the three-vehicle wreck, including an 18-wheeler, occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning on Interstate 22 eastbound at mile marker 29 in Marshall County.

A Mississippi coroner has confirmed that one person died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, all lanes in both directions were blocked as of 6 a.m. because the 18-wheeler had overturned in the wreck. Officials are asking drivers to seek alternate routes.
