A strong low pressure system pushing through the southern Plains this evening will bring precipitation to southern Missouri tonight into tomorrow, with travel impacts expected through Monday night.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Monday night for Camden, Phelps, and Pulaski counties for a few inches of snow and road impacts.
The center of low pressure will stay anchored over Arkansas, but the northern band will push up and bring rain and snow to the southern third of Missouri overnight into tomorrow.
Cold air will interact with the heaviest band of precipitation, allowing accumulating snow to fall along and south of I-44 through late Monday afternoon. A few snow showers could inch as far north as the Lake of the Ozarks.
Travel impacts are expected along and south of the I-44 corridor where 1-4″ of snow is likely to pile up, causing slick spots and lower visibility. A dusting to 1/2″ is possible near the Lake area and perhaps as far northeast as a line from Eldon to Owensville.
