Tracking warm and windy conditions for the start of the workweek

We had a much warmer afternoon across the area in the 70s. As we head into the overnight, winds will start to increase becoming strong between 25 to 35 mph. Monday morning will be a windy and cool start with temperatures lingering in the 50s and low 60s. The dryline boundary will move towards the east bringing in the cT air, which is warm and dry. With the strong winds between 25- 35 mph and the low relative humidity values, we will have a Red Flag Warning go in effect for most of the western half of the Panhandles and eastern New Mexico. During the afternoon, the dryline will be near the Texas/Oklahoma Stateline. Possible thunderstorms could start to form near the eastern counties, then quickly move east exiting the viewing area. Afternoon temps will linger in the upper 70s and 80s. For Monday evening, we are tracking dry and clear conditions. Have a great and safe new week!
