Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson sued a Lorain County home repair business Tuesday for allegedly taking $140,000 in down payments from nine customers then failing to do the promised work, refusing to honor a warranty and refusing to give refunds when asked.
The lawsuit filed in Lorain County Common Pleas Court names Journey Home Restoration and its owner, Jason Kaczur, of Biggs Road in LaGrange Township, as defendants.
Kaczur, 40, and his company also were under criminal investigation by the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office this summer, according to court records. No criminal charges appear to have been filed as a result…
