CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Gelato, the kitten who needed a wheelchair due to a spinal injury, has found his forever home.
Gelato was rescued in September with four other kittens and taken to Cincinnati Animal CARE in September.
The staff there crafted him a tiny wheelchair using cardboard, zip ties and Hot Wheels before an engineer created a sturdier 3D-printed version.
When he went up for adoption, the shelter said Gelato’s future family will need to work with a veterinarian on additional therapy. He also needs help urinating, and his litter box training remains a work in progress…
