Republicans in Ohio’s U.S. senate race all oppose border deal: Capitol Letter

Run for the border: Ohio’s three U.S. Senate candidates are on the same page when it comes to the new bipartisan Senate border security bill. Per Andrew Tobias, State Sen. Matt Dolan, businessman Bernie Moreno and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose all said Monday that they oppose the $118 billion bill, which combines military aid to Ukraine and Israel with border enforcement improvements. Dolan’s opposition in particular illustrates the depth of Republican distaste for the bill, given that he’s run as a relatively moderate candidate in the field.
