Four of Ohio’s favorite chocolate shops

Do you want to enjoy some delicious chocolate? Whether you like milk or dark, caramel or cream-filled, head to one of these Ohio shops where you will find something amazing to satisfy your sweet tooth:

Brummer’s

Serving customers since 1904, Brummer’s originally opened in Jersey City, New Jersey. It expanded to Vermilion in 1980, and continues to make its chocolate and candy in-house with the same trusted family recipes. Chocolates include Black Forest truffles, buckeyes, and almond turtles.

Nothing But Chocolate

At Nothing But Chocolate, Amanda Cox offers a small shop filled with homemade goodies. Growing up, she handcrafted chocolate with her family during the holidays.

She saw how much happiness the treats brought to loved ones and believes chocolate can bring joy to every occasion. Customer favorites include peanut clusters, assorted truffles, and dark-stemmed cherry cordials.

Honadle’s Fine Chocolates

An Ohio favorite since 1927, Honadle’s Fine Chocolates features unique recipes. Founder Lester Hohenadel met his wife soon after opening the shop. They ran the store together, turning it into one of the largest candy manufacturers in Akron. Today, the couple’s grandson, Bob, continues to make the chocolate by hand. He creates the recipes in small batches and only uses coconut oil, freshly zested lemons, and other fine ingredients.
