Jenks West Elementary nurse hailed as hero for helping save a man’s life

JENKS, Okla. — JENKS, Okla. – Jenks Public Schools is calling a school nurse a hero after she helped save the life of a man after he injured himself.

They say Dennis Adams was leaving a football game at Allan Trimble Stadium when he fainted and hit his head on the curb. The impact from the fall severed an artery.

That is when Chelsea Franklin, a school nurse at Jenks West Elementary, came to Dennis’ aid and applied pressure to the wound. 911 was called, and she stayed with him to slow the loss of blood. Paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital…
