Workers’ Memorial Day honors those lost on the job in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE – Sunday was Workers’ Memorial Day, a day observed across the world to pay respects to all workers killed, injured or made sick by their job. In Wisconsin, 2022 was the deadliest year for workers in more than a decade. According to the most recent AFL-CIO report, 125 people died on the job that year in the state. In 2021, 105 Wisconsinites died while working and 108 died in 2020.
