STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Gerardi’s Farmers Market reopened around Easter with flowers, shrubs and landscaping goods—but one key ingredient was missing: produce.
As of today, the longtime New Brighton nursery and market has restocked, once again offering a broad inventory of fresh fruits and vegetables. The 41-year old operation is run by Enzo Gerardi alongside his son Vinny and wife, Fran.
Gerardi’s has long been a seasonal cornerstone on Richmond Terrace. Since 1985, the family-run business has served the North Shore with plants, flowers and fresh produce, blossoming from a modest farm stand across the street at a former gypsum plant into a vibrant destination for local shoppers…
