Historic Jersey Shore ice cream shop is back after 6-year closure

A longtime Jersey Shore restaurant and ice cream shop that closed six years ago has reopened, according to a social media post from @jersey.shore.eats.

Nagle’s Apothecary Cafe in Ocean Grove began serving ice cream on Friday, May 29, with the restaurant officially opening on Monday, June 1.

The shop, located at 43 Main Ave., was purchased last year by Kelly Ryan, the longtime owner of The BoonDocks Fishery in Red Bank.
