STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island man has claimed a $1 million Powerball second prize after matching five of the six numbers selected in the June 1 drawing, the New York Lottery announced.
Frank DeAngelis matched the first five numbers — 2, 42, 47, 57 and 58 — but not the Powerball number, 14, to win the second-tier prize. He received a lump sum payment of $612,240 after required withholdings, officials said.
DeAngelis purchased the winning ticket at Naz Cards & Gifts, located at 4346 Amboy Road in Eltingville.
