A NEW trash law is now being fully enforced after homeowners were given months to prepare for the major change.

Those who are still not in compliance with the new law are now being hit with fines of up to $200 in a major enforcement crackdown.

New York City’s new trash container rules are now being fully enforced, with fines being issued to owners of single-family homes and small private buildings with up to nine units.
