Pulitzer-nominated chef returns to Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Dean Kropp, known as the “Dean of Chefs,” will return to the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum on Saturday, May 2 at 2 p.m. for an afternoon of culinary storytelling and instruction.

The gold medal-winning pastry chef, renowned actor and author who doubles as a food consultant — and the culinary guru who’s spent several years cooking for celebrities and catering for film crews — will discuss his two Pulitzer Prize-nominated books, “Memories Nobody Wants – Pastry Chef Whipped by No-Fault” and “Cooking for Gold: The Cooking Olympics.”

Kropp has been published out of Paris, France, in 2010 and 2012 for his articles on the History of the Culinary Olympics that started in 1900, in Frankfurt, Germany…
