STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY responded to a fire at a home in Mariners Harbor on Friday morning.
The blaze was reported at 4:54 a.m. on the first floor of a two-story residence at 28 Van Pelt Ave., between Richmond Terrace and Linden Avenue.
Numerous FDNY and emergency vehicles lined Van Pelt Avenue as firefighters extended a ladder to the second floor so that crews could access the interior of the home.
