STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Port Richmond North Shore Alliance honored 20 Staten Island veterans on Saturday at its sixth annual Banner Celebration.
Medal of Honor recipient U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Michael H. Ollis was among those honored this year, bringing the total number of banners to 143.
The 2026 banner celebration kicked off at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, with Capt. John Kroczynski from the FDNY Ceremonial Unit asking the Port Richmond High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Color Guard to present the flags.
