STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — As New York City prepares for a dangerous stretch of heat through Wednesday, cooling centers around the five boroughs have been activated, including on Staten Island.
According to New York City’s emergency notification system, the cooling centers will be open from Tuesday, May 19 through Wednesday, May 20.
