SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A Discovery Bay man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a crash in San Francisco’s Mission District that killed one pedestrian and injured three others, according to police.
Samuel Powell, 57, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and for not exercising due care for the safety of any pedestrian within the roadway, the San Francisco Police Department said.
The fatal collision involving four pedestrians occurred May 25 around 12:13 a.m. in the area of 16th and Mission streets. One of the pedestrians was rushed to a nearby hospital and pronounced deceased. The three other pedestrians were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

Powell was detained by officers following the crash. Further investigation led to probable cause to arrest Powell on Tuesday, SFPD said…
