California Highway Patrol officers will conduct a pedestrian safety enforcement operation next month in Salida, including using plainclothes officers to cross streets while other officers watch for drivers who fail to yield.
The operation is scheduled for Sept. 3, according to a CHP Modesto-area media advisory released Wednesday.
