Antioch flower shop burglars make off with $130, cause $4K in damage

( KRON ) — Police in Antioch are investigating after a flower shop was broken into over the weekend and had its cash register stolen, causing thousands in damages to the business.

The owner of Paula’s Family Florist, Paula Trotta, said that on Saturday at 5:07 a.m., two men used crowbars to break into the business after casing the location from a vehicle. The suspects are seen on security cameras walking around the shop and taking a credit card machine and a cash register.

There was $130 in the cash register, according to Trotta. The damages to the business, however, amount to $4,000, she said.

The Antioch Police Department was notified of the burglary and is investigating. No further information was released by authorities.
