NorCal families celebrate Mother’s Day with spending expected to hit record

LODI, Calif. — Consumers celebrating Mother’s Day are expected to spend more than ever this year as rising prices continue to impact everything from groceries to restaurant meals and gas.

The National Retail Federation expects consumers to spend a record $38 billion on Mother’s Day this year.
