A cold front will sweep through Central New York late Friday afternoon and evening, bringing scattered showers and gusty winds before ushering in a notably cooler weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will climb into the low 70s on Friday before the front arrives. Scattered showers are expected to develop over north-central New York by mid-afternoon, then drift south through the evening hours before clearing overnight.
