Southern fast-casual restaurant expanding to Albany market

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– After its most successful year of business, a fast-casual southern restaurant chain announced it will be moving into New York. According to an announcement from the chain, Chicken Salad Chick signed a 25-unit development deal aimed at introducing the chicken salad business to markets across the state, including Albany.

“New York represents a tremendous growth opportunity, and we’re excited to partner with a seasoned owner to introduce our brand to guests across the state,” Vice President of Franchise Development Mark Verges said.

The restaurants will be developed in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and the upper Hudson Valley, the announcement said.

Despite the announcement, specific locations in Albany and the name of the franchisee were not yet disclosed. However, the business noted that the franchisee is an experienced, multi-unit owner of other brands…
